The design of life and the life of design

Most of the time, people hate going to interviews.  But I love them.  Every interview is a learning opportunity to me, no matter to learn from the interviewer(s), learn about the job or learn about myself.  Sometimes, things would run really smoothly without much surprises, and everything seems to be really nice.  Other times, things would happen differently, and it is these moments that I get the most out of it.

The interview that I went today happened to be the latter.  It was definitely the most challenging yet also the most inspiring interview I encountered.  It inspired me to really think through my life, my thoughts and my values.  I am a thinker, often too much that I found myself overwhelmed in thoughts.  Creations thus became my way of expressing myself, no matter in words, in graphics or in photography.  All these creations require some sort of thinking and planning, in which is the key to them.  Without any thoughts, design becomes dead.

Design is a very interesting thing on Earth.  I cannot say it is vital, but without it the world seems much less appealing.  Design can evoke emotions, brings happiness to people, inspires people, makes us think, passes messages, communicates, solves problems, makes a better life.  To be graphic design, it has to do these things visually.  In fact, design is in every aspect of our life.  I am the designer of my life and I design what I want to do to my life.  Just like any kind of design, every of our behaviour can create significant changes to our lives.

That was really a great lesson learnt in life.  And definitely much more for me to learn in the coming days.
